Grandstream Wave for Android

Step 1: Gather information for each user.

Each user has a set of credentials which will be needed to configure each phone. For each phone that you are configuring, obtain the following:

  • "SIP Address" (Address of Record)
  • "SIP Password"
  • "Auth Username"
  • "Username"
  • "Domain"
  • "Outbound Proxy"

You can find this information in the user detail pages under the "Users" tab in your OnSIP Admin Portal.

Step 2: Download Grandstream Wave from the Google Play Store.

From the home screen, touch "Play Store" -> Search for "Grandstream Wave", and download the FREE version. 

Step 3: Configure OnSIP Hosted PBX user account information.

When you start Grandstream Wave for the very first time, it should automatically take you to the "Settings" screen.  Click "Account Settings" then the "+" in the upper right of your screen:

Select "OnSIP" as your new account:

After placing a checkmark next to "Activate Account", enter in your credentials from Step 1 above, in the fields as follows:

  • Account Name > Whatever you'd like
  • SIP Server > "Domain"
  • SIP Server ID > "Username"
  • SIP Authentication ID > "Auth Username"
  • Password > "SIP Password"
  • Outbound Proxy Address > "sip.onsip.com"
  • Display Name > Your Choice

Add new account

 

Next in Settings ->Account ->SIP SETTINGS and select 'Unregister Before New Registration' and change to 'Do Not Register':

Finally, still under NETWORK SETTINGS ->DNS Mode change to 'SRV':

Now Activate the Account under General Settings.  That's it, you are now registered. 

Note- Grandstream Wave will not work over Sprint or T-Mobile, as their data networks are solely IPv6.
