Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

Multi-factor authentication acts as an additional layer of security to prevent unauthorized users from accessing your OnSIP account.

To add MFA to your account, go to https://app.onsip.com/ and log in as Admin. Select the Administrators tab on the top right, then go to PBX settings on the left and choose Multi-factor authentication.

Click the slider to enable MFA for all users. The users will receive an email to verify their account.

Once MFA has been added an email will be sent to the email address on file for the Users.  There will be a link in the email that needs to be confirmed and verified to be able to log in moving forward.

Once you click confirm, then select verify.

Once verified you can log into your OnSIP account with your SIP address and password you created.

Please Note:  When MFA is initially turned on users will not receive any email or notification.  When the user tries to log in they will receive the email for verification.

We are aware that when logging into the Mobile app with MFA is on, there is an incorrect login failure that appears (This will soon be updated).  Please wait for the email to confirm and verify the login.

Email Triggers:

  • When a User logs into the app, if the IP address, browser or device that is not in the MFA records.
  • It is over 30 days since the last login.
