This phone requires manual configuration and is not found in the OnSIP Admin Portal for boot server
Step 1: Gather information for each user.
Each user has a set of credentials which will be needed to configure each phone. For each phone that you are configuring, obtain the following:
- SIP Address (Address of Record)
- SIP Password
- Auth Username
- Username
- Proxy/Domain
You can find this information in the user detail pages under the Users tab in the Phone Configuration section in the OnSIP Admin Portal.
Step 2: Log into your Digium phone through a web browser
When your phone is powered on and connected to your LAN, use a browser to navigate to the IP address of your phone. Log in using the following:
- Username ->admin
- Password ->789
Step 3. Enter your user information from Step 1.
For most setups, you will need to simply configure "Account 1". If you are trying to configure multiple users or multiple line appearances, you can repeat the steps below for each of the identities you are configuring.
- User ID / Extension: Username
- Authorization Name: Auth Username
- Line Label on Phone:Whatever you'd like
- Caller ID Name:Whatever you'd like
- Register: Slide to read YES
- Password: SIP Password
- IP Address or Hostname: Domain
- Port: 5060
- Transport: UDP
Step 4. Set the Outbound Proxy.
Scroll down to "SIP Outbound Proxy" and enter the following:
- IP address / hostname -> sip.onsip.com
- Port -> 5060
Press "Submit Phone Settings".
Step 5. Choose Codecs.
Select the "General" tab. Scroll down to "Advanced: Audio Codecs" and disable all BUT:
- G722
- PCMU
- PCMA
Press "Submit Phone Settings".
Step 5. Confirm that your phone is registered.
In the OnSIP Admin Portal click on User tab (left). You will see a green "online" notation next to each user with a registered phone.
NOTE:
May 2018: The Digium D80 is not able to be configured to OnSIP.
Digium Support confirmed a conflict with the D80's firmware (a D60 with a touchscreen) that prevents access to the phone's web interface, even after un-assigning the phone and factory resetting it. - ckk
