How to Install the Desktop App for Windows

Updated June 3, 2019

OnSIP users on a Windows computer can download the desktop app as an EXE file. The following instructions are applicable for Windows 7, 8.1, and 10 operating systems.

Note: Downloading the file through Internet Explorer with older versions of Windows may result in an unusable file. Appending “.exe” to the file’s name solves the issue, but we recommend using Firefox or Chrome.

First, navigate to the desktop app download page and click on the orange Download OnSIP for Windows button.

Depending on your Windows version and browser, you may see a popup asking you to confirm that you want to save the downloaded file. Click on Save File to start the download.

Silent Installer mode

The installer package will work as a silent install by adding /S (capital S, won't work otherwise) from the command line. This will install as the current user only. To install for all users, add /AllUsers to the command line (as administrator), like

path\to\"OnSIP Setup 2.2.2.exe" /AllUsers /S
