D-Link EBR-2310 Ethernet Broadband Router
Hardware Version B

Prerequisites

  • Network configuration completed.

The following instructions assume your router has a successful network configuration including obtaining valid IP addresses for itself, an IP gateway and DNS servers either via DHCP, manual or other means (refer to your ISP for instruction).

  • Router is hardware revision B and running firmware release 2.0.1 or better.

You can find the hardware and firmware versions of your router by logging into the web page (http://192.168.0.1 by default) and looking at the upper left hand corner. DLink publishes their firmware athttp://support.dlink.com/products/.

Router Configuration

Step 1: Disable SIP Application Layer Gateway

D-Link routers ship with an Application Layer Gateway that interferes with SIP traffic and prevents us from being able to properly detect NAT settings, thereby causing difficulties with transfers. In order for OnSIP to work properly, the SIP Application Layer Gateway must be disabled.

To do this, log into the webpage of your router and click on Advanced and then Firewall Settings.

Scroll down to the bottom and uncheck the box next to SIP under the Application Layer Gateway (ALG) Configuration.

Click "Save Settings" and reboot the router.
