To provision phones not on the OnSIP boot server, the phone will have to be manually provisioned. To do this, you'll need to access the web interface of the phone.
Step 1 - Gather IP Address
To configure, you need to log into the web interface of the phones. To do that, simply obtain the IP address of the phone by choosing:
- "Menu"
- "Status"
- "Platform"
- "Phone"
- Scroll down until you see IP address listed
Step 2 - Configure SIP
Take the IP address listed there and put it into the address bar of your browser.
his will take you to the web user interface for the phone. Log in with the admin username and password:
Username - Polycom (Be sure to use capital "P"!)
Password - 456 (unless phone is on our boot server, in which case the phone password is located under the "Phones" tab. Click on MAC address to expand boxes, and in the "Phone Info" box the phone password is listed).
In the SIP tab, add the default digitmap- [4379]11|011xxx.T|[1][2-9]xxxxxxxxx|[2-9]xxx|*44|*45|*94|*98|*xxxx
and the outbound Proxy- sip.onsip.com
Save Settings
In the Line 1 tab, enter the Display Name, SIP address, Auth Username, SIP Password (from the phone settings tab in Users in administration) and Label (can be a name or extension number)
Repeat for additional Lines.
Save settings and reboot.
For older Soundpoint phones, the interface looks different but the settings are the same as above.
