Porting from eFax

If you are interested in porting your eFax phone number(s) to OnSIP, please obtain a current copy your eFax bill that includes the business name, address, account # and phone number(s) to be ported.

In place of a traditional bill copy, you can supply OnSIP with screenshots from your eFax web portal showing the phone numbers to be ported, the name and the address on the account.

Below is a sample of the eFax requirements for porting out:

  • eFax account #
  • eFax port-out PIN. To obtain the required port-out PIN, the eFax account holder must email port@consensus.com with their eFax account information and a copy of the signed OnSIP Letter of Authorization (LOA). If the account information that the customer provides to eFax is accurate, eFax will supply the necessary PIN to the account holder. An example of the eFax PIN format might be PORT-xxxxx.
  • eFax account name (It's your company name for business account & your name if it's a residential account)
  • eFax address on the account
  • BTN (Billing telephone number) The number you are porting out is the BTN.

Note: We make every attempt to work with all telephone service providers. However, certain local or regional guidelines may preclude your current provider from releasing your number.
