Porting from Microsoft Teams

To successfully port your Microsoft Teams phone number to OnSIP, you will need to manually set up a 10 digit PIN in your Teams Amin Center > https://admin.teams.microsoft.com/

  • In the Microsoft Teams portal Navigate to Voice > Phone Numbers
  • In the top right hand corner, click Manage porting PIN
  • Note: The PIN can NOT include letters or special characters.

After you set a Microsoft Teams PIN, you will need to provide it to the OnSIP porting team to be included in the port request. You can provide us with the PIN when submitting your port request, or when returning your signed LOA (authorization) form.

In place of a traditional bill copy, you can supply OnSIP with screenshots from your Microsoft Teams portal showing the phone numbers to be ported, the name and the address on the account. The number you are porting out can be used as the Microsoft Teams account number and the BTN (Billing telephone number).

Note: We make every attempt to work with all telephone service providers. However, certain local or regional guidelines may preclude your current provider from releasing your number.
