Porting from Verizon Wireless

To successfully port your Verizon Wireless phone number to OnSIP, you will need to provide us with your Account Number and a Number Transfer PIN.

Your Verizon Wireless Account number can be found on a bill copy or listed online in the account overview section. (Note: The account # typically ends in -00001)

To request a Number Transfer PIN for porting purposes, you must be the Account Owner or an Authorized Account Manager.

There are a few methods to obtain your Verizon Wireless Number Transfer PIN:

  • Dial #PORT from your smartphone. If the My Verizon app is installed on your device, you'll be directed to the Number Transfer PIN screen in the app. If the app is not installed, you'll be directed to the Number Transfer PIN screen on your mobile browser.
  • You can also request a Number Transfer PIN online. Navigate to the Number Transfer PIN page and click or choose Generate PIN.

The PIN is valid for any line being transferred on the account, and it is only valid for 7 days. Please remember to keep your Number Transfer PIN and Account Number safe. You can provide OnSIP with the PIN when submitting your port request, or when returning your signed LOA (authorization) form.

In place of a traditional bill copy, you can supply OnSIP with screenshots from your Verizon portal showing the phone numbers to be ported, the name and the address on the account. The number you are porting out can be used as the BTN (Billing telephone number).

Note: We make every attempt to work with all telephone service providers. However, certain local or regional guidelines may preclude your current provider from releasing your number.
