How to Pair a Yealink Handset with a Base Station

The pairing process is separate from the registration/provisioning process. This can only be done by the user when the base and handset(s) are available. Users can be registered without the handsets being paired.

For the first Handset
1. When the handset LCD screen prompts "Press base paging 2s then press Reg."

2. Press the OK soft key on the handset.
3. Select Register Handset.
4. Select the desired base and then press the OK soft key. The handset begins
searching the base.
5. Press the OK soft key after searching a base successfully.
6. Enter the base PIN (default: 0000), and then press the Done soft key to
complete registration.
NOTE: You can also press the OK key to enter the main menu, and then select
Settings > Registration > Register Handset and repeat steps 2-4 to register
multiple base stations.
After the success of registration, the handset LCD screen prompts "Handset
Subscribed" and "Base NO. (The last 4 characters of connected Base's MAC
address)". If the handset LCD screen prompts "Searching for Base", please check if
your base station is powered on.

For additional handsets

1. Find the IP address of the base by going to Status/Base on the paired handset.
2. On a device on the same local network, go to http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx with the x's being the IP address from the handset
3. Log in with Admin and the PIN from the Resource in the OnSIP admin portal
4. Go to Status-Handset & VoIP
5. Click on Start Register
6. On the unregistered handset, go to Settings, then Register, and follow the steps. The PIN will be 0000
