Reset Panasonic Phones to Factory Default

Panasonic - Reset to Default

Note: This document is part of the process of putting a Panasonic phone on the OnSIP Boot Server:

Panasonic Boot Server. 

Step 1: Enable Embedded Web

Please note, when restoring to factory default, you must re-enable the WWW interface on the phone to make changes. On the phone:
Press "[MENU]" and then [#][5][3][4].
Next use the up/down arrows select "On" for "Embedded web" and then [SAVE].
(Alternately you can choose "Menu" -> "IP service" -> "Network Setting" -> "Embedded web".
Next use the up/down arrows select "On" and hit the "Menu" key one last time to "[SAVE]".

Step 2: Determine IP Address of Phone/Basestation

To get the IP address of your phone/basestation, on a phone or on a handset which has been registered to the basestation, select "Menu" -> "IP service" -> "Network Setting" -> "IP Settings". Enter that address into your web browser. Example: http://192.168.1.105

a. For factory resetting the UT-248, 3xx, 670 and TGP-500/550-

User Name: customerserviceid
Password: cspass

For the KX-TGP500/550 with firmware version 13.33 only

User Name: instoperatoruserid
Password: r4jr9XHG

Select the "Maintenance" tab at the top and then choose "Reset to Defaults" from the menu on the left. Scroll down and hit "Reset to Factory Defaults".

Click "Restart".

Be sure to close all open browser windows before logging back into the base. Also, be sure to reset the key in the phone resource in admin.onsip.com.

When re-configuring or configuring the Panasonic device after it's been factory reset, use a different browser from above when following these instructions- Panasonic Boot Server.

 

b. For KX-UT113/KX-UT123/KX-UT133/KX-UT136 Panasonic Phones-

From the desktop phone (no need to log into web interface for these):

Press "[Setting]" or "[Setup]" and then [#][1][3][6].
Next use the up/down arrows select "Factory Setting" and then [ENTER].
Next use the up/down arrows select "Yes" and then [ENTER].
Finally use the up/down arrows select "Yes" and then [ENTER].

c. For all other Panasonic Phones, UTG-200/300, TGP600, HDV series-

User Name: admin
Password: adminpass

Go to the "Maintenance" tab, Click on "Reset to Defaults" in the left column, and Click on "Reset to carrier defaults".

Click "Restart".

Be sure to close all open browser windows before logging back into the phone. Also, be sure to reset the key in the phone resource in admin.onsip.com.

Follow these instructions- Panasonic Boot Server. 

Error 403

If you get HTTP 403 error at any point, please do the following:

  • Turn "Embedded Web" on
  • Turn "Embedded Web" off
  • Shut down browser
  • Restart browser
  • Turn "Embedded Web" On
  • Enter IP address of phone in browser
  • Log in using username and password from above
