Prerequisites
- Grandstream version 1.5A or newer is installed and running with appropriate permissions and behind a secure firewall
- Familiarity with configuring Grandstream and administrative access
- A valid OnSIP Hosted PBX account
- An OnSIP Trunking enabled user
Step 1: Gather information for the OnSIP Trunking User
You will need the following information from the OnSIP Trunking User in the Admin portal:
- Username
- Auth Username
- SIP Password
- Domain
- Outbound Proxy
You can find this information in the user detail pages under the Users tab in the Phone Configuration section.
Step 2: Add the OnSIP Trunking user as a SIP Trunk in Grandstream UCM6104
Log in to the Grandstream Admin page
- Create New SIP Trunk
- Under the Basic Settings section
- Complete the following:
Provider Name > OnSIP
Host Name > Domain
Transport > All-UDP Primary
Keep Trunk CID > checkmark (see image below)
TEL URI > Disabled
Need Registration > checkmark (see image below)
Username > Username
Password > SIP Password
AuthID > Auth Username
SAVE
- Under Advanced Settings section
Codec Preference > Selected Codecs = PCMU, PCMA, G.722, GSM, G.729
From Domain > Domain
From User > Username
Outbound Proxy Support > checkmark (see image below)
Outbound Proxy > sip.onsip.com
DID Mode > Request-line
DTMF Mode > Default
Step 3: Make test calls
Verify connectivity and correct signaling by placing test calls against a land line or cell phone.
