E911 callback number

When a call is made to 911 from your OnSip phone or app, it is routed to the proper Public Safety Answering Position (PSAP) based on the location set for the user. At that time, a random phone number is assigned to the call for callback. You will not recognize this number. This number is linked directly to the sip address of the user making the call, allowing public safety personnel to call back directly without having to navigate any call routing in place and talk to the caller quickly.

This is a temporary connection that is in place for a few hours after the call is disconnected. Only PSAP dispatchers and call takers can access the number, and only police, fire and emergency medical personnel can be given it for use in that period.
