Multi Factor Authentication 2.0

Multi-factor authentication (MFA) acts as an additional layer of security to prevent unauthorized users from accessing your OnSIP account. It is required for all accounts using OnSIP Messaging.

NOTE: For the new version of MFA 2.0, it is  mandatory for all OnSIP Apps to be updated.

To add MFA to your account, go to https://app.onsip.com/ and log in as Admin. Select the Administrators tab on the top right, then go to PBX settings on the left and choose Multi-factor authentication.

Click the slider to enable MFA for all users. You will be presented with a banner that MFA has been added successfully.

Once MFA has been added and a User tries to log in they will receive a Verify Your Account screen. A verification email with a code will be emailed to you to confirm your login.

This code is valid for 10 minutes only. For security reasons, please do not share this code with anyone.

Take the verification code and key this into the Verify Your Account screen and select Verify.

Once verified you can log into your OnSIP account with your SIP address and password you created.

If you did not receive the verification code, please click the “Didn’t receive a code? Resend Code” link to have this resent.

You will be prompted for the 6 digit code each time you log into the desktop or web app.

Please Note:  When MFA is initially turned on users will not receive any email or notification.  When the user tries to log in they will receive the email for verification. The email is sent to the address listed in the user's contact information.
