As of June 2, 2025, OnSIP requires passwords that are at least 12 characters long and a combination of letters, numbers, and symbols for increased security.

Forgot Your Password

If you forgot your password, go to app.onsip.com and select the “forgot password?” link.  

Then type in your SIP Address (this is different from your email address).

You will receive an email with the subject “Reset your OnSIP account password”. Click the password reset link to create a password.

Password Tips and Best Practices

1. Use a Secure Password Manager (e. g.- LastPass, 1Password, or Dashlane).
2. Use a Passphrase, not a single password (Use a string of randomized words rather than a traditional password).
3. Use a different password for each site or account.
4. Use Multi-Factor Authentication (For more on OnSIP’s MFA see here)
5. Never share your password.
